Spyware Cookies

A spyware cookie is really just a tiny text file that contains information about the websites that you visit. These are automatically downloaded through your internet browser and stored on your computer. Not all cookies are considered spyware. Some cookies simply contain web site settings such as a user name that will get filled in next time you go to that site, or some preferences as to the way you want a page formatted on a portal. A spyware cookie usually contains your information such as email address which is then shared with certain web sites for marketing purposes. Just about all computer security software companies can detect and remove spyware cookies. It is important to keep that software up to date to detect the latest cookies.
