EliteBar

EliteBar (also known as the "Elite Toolbar") is a web browser toolbar that is actually a Browser Helper Object capable of modifying your internet explorer web settings. Some things that EliteBar can do include:

• Changing your current internet home page.
• Modifying your favorites/bookmarks by adding additional entries for you.
• Modifying your current internet toolbar settings including removing existing ones.

In addition, EliteBar may redirect your search requests when pages are not found and display popup advertisements to you based on your web surfing activity.

EliteBar may also send the email addresses in your email address book to third parties. Most recently it was reported that their autofill feature can be used to capture credit card numbers and addresses.
